Information on New Travel Search Sites
We all love our annual vacation but there are those that never go too far from home and then you find the adventurous types that will travel the world. However, one thing is for sure, whatever location you think of there will be many travel sites that devote space to it, if not whole websites themselves. Not only this but many people have given up going to a travel agent altogether (unless they are after a brochure) and make all their travel, car hire and accommodation arrangements online. The main problem is the convenience of it all and the huge savings that can be found using the internet.
Although I am not one to put my complete trust in these sites and still like to visit my travel agent. However, I am still of the old school and prefer to sit down with a cup of coffee and plan my vacation with a professional, face to face. There always seems to be much more flexibility with a travel agent and you are able to ask for more details and change your mind with much more ease. It is difficult complaining to a travel site and almost impossible to actually speak to a real person, plus with today’s technology it is almost impossible to say where they are in the world.
They may say something just to appease you and it will not hold true in the end. With a travel agent they are real and I can always go back to them and clarify points especially if something goes wrong. A best friend of mine only books her vacations on travel sites and often she’ll book a last minute vacation that a travel site is offering which is one huge advantage of using a travel site. There are always huge savings to be had by waiting until the last possible moment to book but you have to be flexible with your travel arrangements to do this.
It would be nice to do this but my career does not allow for impulsive travel arrangements. I don’t doubt for one minute that by using a travel site can be less expensive as you can also get discounts on tours and car hire by booking this way.
There are many advantages to using a travel site to book your travel or even do your research and I do use websites when researching where I would like to travel to, and for getting my facts together. Perhaps it isn’t fair because I know that it will be my travel agent that will hear my complaints if my vacation doesn’t go according to plan.
