When visiting Europe, tourists should really take the time to visit Frankfurt which is the 5th biggest city in Germany. If you go there you’ll be able to see lots of museums and classic theatres as well as ancient buildings and churches. For lovers of more modern architecture there are also plenty of skyscrapers.

– London to Frankfurt Airlines –

One of the airlines that fly from London to Frankfurt and back on a regular basis is Swiss International. Although they’re a fairly recent addition to the pan-European air service, they’re quickly becoming popular. Although Swiss International might not be that well known in the UK they’re actually the biggest airline in Switzerland.

British Airways is another carrier which offers flights from London to Frankfurt. BA is of course the Untied Kingdom’s flag carrier and is still perceived as the UK’s national airline. If it has a major international airport then the chances are that British Airways will fly to it.

British Midland Airways – probably more commonly known as BMI fly thousands of passengers a day and have been doing so for decades. BMI is another airline that operates on a worldwide basis as well as internally within Europe or individual countries. Some sources indicate that nearly 1 in 8 passengers that leave on a plane from London depart on a BMI aircraft.

Deutsche Lufthansa are yet another airline that you should consider is you want to fly from London to Frankfurt. Thought to be the largest airline in Europe, they have a reputation for reliability and punctuality.

– Departure Times For Flights From London to Frankfurt –

At the moment, Swiss International has flights that operate from London to Frankfurt on most days – flight times are 12.25pm, 6.00pm and 8.40pm – at least that information is correct at the time of writing. Flight times are just over an hour.

If you want to get there earlier, BA might be a better option with the first flight of the day leaving at 7.25am.

Both BMI and Lufthansa offer a significant number of flights from London to Frankfurt and back. BMI flights leave at 09:05, 11:50, 14:15, 17:05, 18:05, 19:05, and 20:05.

– Where To Find Cheap Tickets and Departure/Arrival Airports –

Swiss airlines offered the cheapest tickets from London to Frankfurt when we checked recently. It shouldn’t cost you more than 100 pounds for a return ticket as long as if you are prepared to book a little in advance. Flights are from Heathrow to Frankfurt International.

The cheapest single ticket for British Airways to fly from London to Frankfurt starts at just 50. Like Swiss Airlines, departure airport is London Heathrow with arrival airport being Frankfurt International.

The other 2 airlines that we highlighted – BMI and Lufthansa – also fly between Heathrow and Frankfurt international. Your main considerations should be time of flight or cost – and for course you’ll be much more likely to find cheap flights from London to Frankfurt if you book as far in advance as possible.
