You need a magnifying glass as you may no be able to see the fine details of a vintage stamp with your naked eye. A stamp tong is also essential as this prevents you from damaging the stamp with you oily skin. However, you have to make sure that the tongs have rounded tips.
Other than having the stamps and a place to store them, you also need to try to appreciate the stamps. Having them in an album is good enough but you may also need magnifying glass to look at the fine details of the stamps. You may also need stamp tongs. This is essential as it prevents you from damaging the stamps by touching them.
