2 Super Love Handle Exercises

Love handles, belly fat or tires are all names for the fat around your waist that bulges over your belt. If junk food and
lots of beer is a regular part of your diet, it’s very like that you have love handles.

So what can you do to find out if you have love handles? Pinch yourself at your waist. If you are holding on to a fat roll
I can promise you that you have a bit of flabby fat around your midsection.

Doing a couple of ab exercises is unfortunately not enough to get rid of love handles. The area around your waist is the
last area your body will target when shedding weight. Since it is the toughest are to target for losing fat, it’s going to
take some time to lose the flab, but it’s not impossible.

The muscles around your waist are called the obliques. The two exercises in this article targets the oblique muscle group.

Twist crunches are very effective to target the obliques and abs. They are a lot like sit-ups, but with a twist thrown in.
1. Lie on your back with your knees bent slightly about half way in.
2. Lift your head slowly, placing both hands behind your head.
3. Twist to the left, bringing your left elbow to your right knee while at the same time extending your left leg out.
4. Repeat step 3, but reserve this whole process to the other side, twisting to the right side.
5. This is one repetition. Do twenty repetitions daily.

You might want to take a breather now. Drink a little bit of water and recover from shocking your muscles. Now move on to
the other exercise.

Standing Trunk Twists is another excellent exercise that targets your waist area.
1. Stand with your knees slightly bent, feet about a foot apart.
2. Twist your torso to the left, with your arms extended and following the action. Don’t move your feet.
3. Repeat this step, twisting to your right side.
4. Repeat 100 times.

Twist Crunches and Standing Trunk Twists are two great exercises that target your love handle area to strengthen and tone.
When incorporated into your daily workout regimen along with your ab exercises, you will soon have a handle on the love
handles.

You also need to have a regular aerobic workout with your exercise program. By getting your heart rate up you will boost
your metabolism, and your body will burn much more fat. Have as a goal to do 30 minutes of cardio daily together with the
love handle exercises. This will help you in your fight against the fat rolls around your waist.

Last but not least, you need to have a balanced diet of vegetables, fresh fruits and lean meats. Your quest in shedding
your love handles will be much easier if you do the right exercises and have a proper diet. This will give you quicker
results all over your body, not just around your waist.
